Planning to Fail by Failing to Plan??

Monday was about starting the thought process. Tuesday about letting go of excuses. Today is about making a PLAN. The 3rd step to making a change in your life, whatever it is...fitness...financial...spiritual, is the VERY important...PLANNING!

Failing to plan IS planning to FAIL.

This quote is SO true. When you want to expand your family and bring a child into this world what do you do? THINK about it. DECIDE on if its a good time to "start" and then COMMIT to making it happen. <--- That's a plan.

What about hosting a holiday party?? Do you just invite people over and wing it? NO WAY! You make a PLAN and it turns out SO much better that way!!

So, let's do that today and kick off your New Year's Resolutions STRONG tomorrow.....or if you're in Australia, today! lol

Have a Great Wednesday and last day of the year!!

Mondays mark the beginning of the week, which can also a FRESH START to something you may have been considering or struggling with.

Don't worry about what came before. Focus on the NOW and moving forward. You CAN do it. It is right there within your grasp. Just reach out and GO FOR IT!

Have a great Monday

Book review: The List by Yuval Abramovitz

On my list of New Year's resolutions for 2015 is the goal to devote time to personal development. Many people think this it is a waste, silly and not for them. But what they don't realize is that EVERYONE can benefit from personal development.

As a Beachbody coach, that is one of the things we stress the most to new coaches. Any job, especially one that deals with personal relationships with your clients, involves some level of rejection. SO improving one's approach to business and in life is infinitely important.

SO, that brings me to The List by Yuval Ambramovitz. Here 's my two cents on it and I honestly hope that you consider it if you are thinking about reading for personal development.

The List: Shout Out Your Dream
by Yuval Abramovitz

I was originally drawn to this book by the title. You see I'm a big list-maker. I love writing a daily to-do list with my favorite purple EnergGel pen by Pentel and love the instant gratification of checking things off my list. I know its a little silly and mundane but I love it. haha

Sometimes its the simple things in life that give you the greatest pleasures, but I digress. After I started getting into it, I really enjoyed hearing about his journey and all the lessons he learned along the way.

It started to hit home the importance of not only setting goals but accomplishing them. Since reading his book I have not only gotten back into writing daily to-dos but also quarterly and annual goals. So, I guess you could say I have several lists. I have them pinned to my bulletin board so that I will see them every time I go into my office. They are a constant reminders of the things I aim to accomplish.

Not familiar with how to make goals? My follow up to this will include how I went about setting mine.

From the Author

If you are reading these lines then you must be considering purchasing this book. You may be thinking, "Hey, this looks like something I've read before" or "Right, another genius who wants to teach me how to write lists. What's the big story? You just take a pen and a piece of paper and write".

But this is it - a list is not just a scribble on a piece of paper.

I don't think that in The List I've brought the tablets from Mount Sinai, but I do believe that I have successfully delivered the idea in the most communicative and motivating manner I could. Moreover, thanks to a social experiment I have conducted, which involved around 5,000 list writers from all over the world, I have cracked the code for writing an effective list that will lead to self-fulfillment through mass support via social networks.

This book was written with a lot of love and has useful tools which will help you advance the goals you set for yourself. Since publishing this book, I have received thousands of heartfelt letters from people who wrote lists and as a result their lives changed for the better and are on their way to self-fulfillment.

I believe that The List will inspire you to act and fulfill yourself and will bring you closer to a much happier life.

Have a great Tuesday!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Peace Comes from Within

This is one of the craziest weeks of the entire year. From last minute shopping to menu planning to cleaning the house before everyone shows up. It can be all out madness!!

Now more than ever is the time to get your workouts in! 30 minutes to take a time out to BREATHE and RELEASE some stress! "Serenity NOW" hahah I love Seinfeld.

Seriously though, even with all these things to do keep in mind that the PEACE COMES FROM WITHIN. Decide not to let the stress overwhelm you and know that it will all work out!!

Happy Monday!

Mushroom Stuffed Pork Tenderloin

Christmas is just about here and yes, I'm STILL putting together my Christmas Eve menu.

Ahhhh!! haha I know I'm nuts.

Lots of stuff still to do to prepare for all the family coming. Menus to finalize, house to clean, presents to wrap....well at least I can check the last one off.

So, if you're like me and need a little inspiration, check out this recipe. Looks delicious!!

{{ Mushroom stuffed pork tenderloin }}

Ingredients:

5 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing
4 slices bacon, chopped
8 ounces cremini mushrooms, thinly sliced
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 tablespoon breadcrumbs
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
2 pork tenderloins (2 to 2 1/2 pounds total), trimmed
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest

Directions:

1) Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon and cook until crisp, about 8 minutes. Add the mushrooms, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and pepper to taste; cook until the mushrooms are soft, about 4 minutes. Add the garlic and cook 1 minute. Remove from the heat and stir in the breadcrumbs and all but 2 tablespoons parsley. Let cool.

2) Soak 10 to 12 toothpicks in water to prevent them from burning. Rinse the pork and pat dry. Butterfly the pork: Make a 1-inch-deep incision down the length of each tenderloin; do not cut all the way through. Open the meat like a book so the tenderloins lie flat.

3) Cover the pork with plastic wrap; pound with the flat side of a meat mallet until about 1/2 inch thick, starting from the middle and working outward. Spread the mushroom mixture over the 2 tenderloins. Starting with a long side, tightly roll up each tenderloin. Secure the seams with the toothpicks.

4) Preheat a grill to medium high; brush the grates with olive oil. Brush the pork rolls with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Grill, turning, until a thermometer inserted into the center of the pork registers 140 degrees F, 25 to 30 minutes. Transfer to a cutting board to rest, about 10 minutes.

5) Mix the remaining 3 tablespoons olive oil and 2 tablespoons parsley, the lemon zest, and salt and pepper to taste in a bowl. Remove the toothpicks and slice the pork rolls. Top with parsley oil.

Happy Cooking!

I don't have the Luck

"I don't have the luck." Ever said that to yourself? I sure have at many different times.

Many people think this way when it comes to their health and fitness or perhaps when they look at others. Ever look at a famous actress and think boy she is SO lucky to be skinny!

Well chances are she isn't lucky at all, she just works hard and makes it look effortless. Perhaps at this point its not hard anymore, its just routine.

You know what the amazing thing is? You can do it to! You CAN be that lucky simply by making the decision to try. Create the opportunity and you might just surprise yourself.

No you WILL surprise yourself!

Have a great day!
